Economic Restart: Support for Creative Entrepreneurship in De-occupied and Frontline Communities

Economic Restart is a project aimed at supporting creative entrepreneurship development in the de-occupied and frontline territories of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. It is based on local libraries for creative entrepreneurs, youth, and the community.
Project Components:
- 65 online and offline meetings for youth, entrepreneurs, librarians, and communities in Nizhyn, Pryluky, Chernihiv, Trostyanets, and Sumy.
- Purchase of literature on creative industries, bookshelves, laptops, furniture, and other equipment for libraries.
- А motivational letter competition in these communities and awarded 15 winners with an online educational course in the field of creative industries.
- Іdeations to transform library spaces to meet the city's creative entrepreneurs' needs.
"Economic Restart" was implemented in five libraries selected by the Association:
- Chernihiv City Library named after M.M. Kotsiubynskyi
- Nizhyn Central City Library
- Pryluky City Central Library named after L. Zabashta
- Sumy City Central Library named after T. Shevchenko
- Trostyanets Public Library
Role of the PPV Agency: PPV experts were co-authors of the project idea, responsible for the management of the educational component and ideathons, and served as speakers in the project.
The development of creative industries is an important topic for our economic development agency, PPV Knowledge Networks. We work on developing the creative economy and enhancing the capacities of entrepreneurs representing the creative industries.
