RES-POL: Rapid Expert Support for Culture and Media Policies in Ukraine (2024-2025)

Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine (MCIP) capacity-building project
RES-POL focuses on 4 sectors: cultural heritage, arts and culture, creative industries, and media, as well as 10 material issues of cultural development.
Expected Outcomes
- Institutional readiness of the MCIP and its Agencies to leverage Ukraine’s EU pre-accession
- Improved functional policy making capabilities of the MCIP
Specific Objectives
- Update policy profiles for key policy areas (arts, heritage, creative industries, and media), outline critical intervention areas and the role of the Ministry and partners in ecosystem.
- Design development pathways for the key sectors (arts, cultural heritage, creative industries, and media) to be supported by the respective operational programmes linked to Ukraine's EU accession, updated policy tools, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning system.
- Elaborate implementation roadmaps for the policies, strategies, and operational programmes, and increase implementation capacity of the Ministry.
The RES-POL team aims to consolidate the voice of the expert community in the process of developing media and cultural policy. The experts will also work on proposals for legislative changes.
