Re(star): Entrepreneurship Training for Veterans and People with Disabilities (UNIDO). Design and Implementation.
Topics: institutional development, sustainability
Implementation period: april — july 2024
Client: United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
More details: Educational program for trainers in entrepreneurship for veterans and people with disabilities within the framework of the UNIDO project “Emergency assistance for 3D-printed prosthetics and job creation in Ukraine”
Role of PPV: PPV experts developed and conducted the training, which included the development of coaching and entrepreneurial skills in trainers. The training was based on the principles of co-creating materials with participants, active discussions, group work, and case analysis.
As a result, participants developed four entrepreneurship programs for veterans and people with disabilities:
-
for veterans who are just considering entrepreneurship.
-
for veterans who have already received funding but encountered unforeseen problems that need to be solved.
-
for veterans who have a business, returned to it, and are deciding what to do next.
-
for veterans and IDPs who have previous entrepreneurial experience and, due to relocation to small towns, want to resume entrepreneurial activity and are looking for ideas.
The main focus of these training programs is the retraining and upskilling of veterans and people with disabilities.
UNIDO is committed to working closely with the Government of Ukraine, as well as relevant stakeholders and partners, to ensure the success of this project. UNIDO believes that the application of new technologies combined with targeted capacity development and training will enable people with disabilities to reach their full potential and make meaningful contributions to their communities and society.
