Role of PPV: Research of development departments and design divisions of manufacturing companies in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, preparation of research findings, and recommendations for interventions.

More details: The research of development departments and design units in manufacturing companies outlines the main trends and challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. The analysis covers businesses in the field of instrument making and equipment, the chemical industry, and other sectors, and focuses on issues such as:

• How companies develop and launch new products, what is the state of research and development efforts?

• Innovation management: how do development departments operate?

• Who works in research and design departments – business interactions with universities, contractors, consultants, clients, etc.;

• Protection of intellectual property rights for new products.

This analysis was developed as part of the project "New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk" – support for new clusters of innovative economic activities in Ivano-Frankivsk, funded by the European Union under the "Mayors for Economic Growth" program.

NEF is implementing by a consortium of partners: Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, innovation center Promprylad.Renovation, urban laboratory METALAB, economic development agency PPV  and platform Teple Misto. The project is financed by the European Union under the Mayors for Economic Growth Facility.
