City of Rivne Cultural Strategy Development
Over the course of eight months, PPV Knowledge Networks’ experts have debated and identified a common direction for the cultural development of the city of Rivne, in north-western part of Ukraine, for the next decade. The process has involved multiple stakeholder groups.
The output strategy would serve as a guidance for the local community of cultural managers and stakeholders, aligning grassroots initiatives and undertakings of the local authorities. The strategy provides a menu of possible projects and initiatives for the cultural managers of Rivne.
Between December 2021 and August 2022 the following activities and outputs have been delivered:
- Strategy development workshop for local stakeholders
- Three study visits to Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk and Lublin (Poland)
- Three diagnostics reports
- Three future vision workshops
- General strategy session.
The project "Rivne Cultural Strategy Development'' was funded by the European Union within the EU4Culture programme, implemented byGoethe-Institut, Czech Centers, Danish Cultural Institute, and Institut Français.
Duration: December 2021 - August 2022
PPV Knowledge Networks Involvement:
- Developing methodology for strategy development (adapting methodology developed by the Creative Towns and Regions Initiative in 2017)
- Delivering strategy workshop for local stakeholders
- Producing three diagnostics reports (current state diagnostics, incl. cultural policies and programmes analysis, benchmarking study, cultural resources mapping, SWOT analysis)
- Adapting f the future vision workshop’s methodology and delivering three future vision workshops
- Facilitating general strategy development session
- Elaborating final version of Rivne culture development strategy
