Role of PPV: experts analyzed the RIS tool and its potential for developing the innovation ecosystem in Ivano-Frankivsk region, monitoring its impact on economic well-being and regional competitiveness. The adaptation of the tool is aimed at stimulating discussions on the necessity of data collection and analysis as prerequisites for building an innovation system.

Details: The Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS) is a regional tool of the European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS), used for the comparative assessment of innovation activities at the regional level in countries, EU member states, and other European countries. RIS analyzes indicators in areas such as human resources, involvement in research systems, digitalization, investments, innovation activity, and impact. The analysis helps government authorities, businesses, educational institutions, and communities in advocacy and implementing changes.

This analysis was developed as part of the project "New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk" – support for new clusters of innovative economic activities in Ivano-Frankivsk, funded by the European Union under the "Mayors for Economic Growth" program.

NEF is implementing by a consortium of partners: Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, innovation center Promprylad.Renovation, urban laboratory METALAB, economic development agency PPV  and platform Teple Misto. The project is financed by the European Union under the Mayors for Economic Growth Facility.
